Their first release earlier this year, (accidentally self-titled), has been receiving quite a bit of air-play on college radio stations across the US, and fans are hungry to hear more from the Vox Jaguars... but that may not happen for a while.
It's too bad that Noah didn't have an opportunity to sit in on any recording sessions with the band before his departure. It seems like a bad time to quit the ensemble who is gaining momentum and recognition throughout the world. But as for the future of the Vox Jaguars, there is no lack of musical talent in the California San Francisco Bay area, and finding suitable replacements should prove to be entertaining for the remaining members, Mason Rosenberg and Trevor Hope who know practically everyone in their local music scene.
The loss of Topf as the Vox Jaguars' vocalist will likely give the band a new direction as they move beyond four-four time signatures and into more complex and interesting musical arrangements. Bassist, Mason, has already demonstrated his composition and production skills in, A Quantum Visionary, a band who plays progressive music that rivals big-name acts like King Crimson, Primus and Emerson Lake and Palmer, to name a few. One thing is sure, the next Vox Jaguar incarnation will no doubt be a different animal.
Good as Gone?
Only time will tell, but I hope the Vox Jaguars don't become extinct.
"One f@#% up and I lost it all
No reason for us to fall"
No reason for us to fall"
