My friend, Chris, was born in Georgia and had lived there for many years before moving to California when he was a young man. The other day, I was hanging out at the cafe with Chris and discussing his lack of a southern accent... an interesting conversation considering the only other people in the cafe were British tourists sitting not more than ten feet away. The two gentlemen ate their meals quietly as they eavesdropped on our dialogue. Chris joked about his roots saying, "The family went to Georgia, and all I got was this stupid accent," he announced, mustering his best southern drawl.

I thought of Chris' joke again as I created this awesome T-shirt earlier today.
