I think that it's funny how so many people revere Ronald Reagan as a hero for outspending the Soviet Union and causing Communism's demise. It's funny because that isn't how it happened at all.
The real reason the Soviet Union fell is because the United States mischievously tricked the Ruskies into stealing software that was pre-designed to fail... a modern day Trojan Horse, if you will. The scheme worked perfectly, too. The Soviets were always too happy to save a bundle of cash by stealing someone else's research and development and make it their own. This time their greed got the best of them and when all of their systems began failing, they had no idea why. Brilliant... like the brightness of one hundred candles on Ronny Reagan's birthday cake. Who's going to blow them out?
