Remember flipping through the mainstream glossies back in 1991, and seeing pictures of Jerry Brown's contorted goofy face on one page, while Bill Clinton was pictured standing messianically with a glowing face and upraised hands, on the opposite page? Who won that primary election? There were hundreds, maybe thousands of photos of both Clinton and Brown for the Timely News-weeklys to chose from, yet they chose to portray Brown in an unfavorable way and subtly promoted the chosen one.
